Abstract |
Suho and his grandmother live in a tent on the Mongolian steppes, and it is a happy day when the young shepherd finds his beautify and loyal white horse. One day they enter and win a race, but a despotic nobleman claims the swift horse for his own and the two are separated. This moving story is told gracefully through magnificent pictures and simple text. Suekichi Akaba's sweeping design and sensitive use of color reflect and enhance the changing moods of the story. |
